Staff Software Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE | Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We recently had a brand new opportunity for a Staff Software Engineer to join a new multi sector AI programme in Abu Dhabi. The Staff Software Engineer will be owning the backend platform infrastructure that the brand new AI factory is built on. This is not an AI specialist position but a backend first position, leading on the infrastructure for the AI engineering teams to build on.

This is a staff level individual contributor position in which you would be owning the event-driven architecture, distributed systems, APIs, deployment systems and cloud operational tooling.

If you are currently at the Staff/Principal level with in depth experience in event driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs etc.) data infrastructure and designing deployment platforms then this would be the perfect next step for you.

Requirements for the Staff Software Engineer:

• 10+ years in backend/platform engineering
• Strong experience in Python or Java
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hubs)
• In depth experience leading on architectural decisions at scale
