Devops Engineer

DevOps Engineer - AWS - Kubernetes - Kafka - 6 month contract - fully remote - SC Clearance

I am partnering with a leading consultancy who have new opportunities for DevOps Engineers to work on a public sector programme. Due to the timescales involved, candidates with current SC clearance would be preferred.

Experience required:

• Proficiency with Containerization and Orchestration Tools: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud Services Expertise: Proficient in deploying and managing services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a solid grasp of best practices.
• Database and Messaging Systems Management: Skilled in configuring and maintaining open source databases and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Scripting and Configuration Management: Strong Python scripting skills and experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, YAML, Helm Charts, Terraform).
• Linux Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with installing, configuring, and monitoring Linux systems in physical data centers.
• CI/CD Pipelines and Version Control: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube).
• Microservice Architecture Understanding: Understanding of modern event-driven Microservice architectures using systems like Kafka.
