The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst to join the Technology Service Centre (TSC) in Yellowknife.
This senior technical role supports the design, performance, security and reliability of the GNWT’s highly complex Digital Communications Network (DCN), delivering critical network services to more than 6,000 users across 33 communities.
About the Role
Reporting to the Network Infrastructure Team Lead, the Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst provides leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring and support of the GNWT’s enterprise network infrastructure.
The role supports a large-scale hybrid environment that includes LAN, WAN, cloud-hosted technologies, VOIP services, network security infrastructure and internet connectivity supporting government departments, agencies, schools and health authorities across the Northwest Territories.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Design, implement and support complex LAN, WAN and cloud-based network infrastructure
- Monitor network performance, reliability and traffic across GNWT systems
- Lead third-tier troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues
- Develop and maintain network security controls, including firewalls and VPN access
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity and network resiliency initiatives
- Lead technical infrastructure projects, including planning, implementation and risk management
- Develop network standards, documentation and ITIL-based operational processes
- Collaborate with GNWT departments, stakeholders and third-party vendors to deliver secure and effective solutions
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve network performance, security and reliability.

Qualifications Required
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
- A Degree in Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, combined with three (3) years of experience in server and network administration, IP data network support and operations.

- A 2-year diploma in a related field with five (5) years of relevant experience
