About The Role

Kake is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our remote team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality and reliability of high-impact media and streaming platforms. The successful candidate will have a passion for building automation frameworks from scratch, refining QA processes, and collaborating closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks, driving QA strategies, and ensuring seamless integration of testing processes within CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality web and API products, particularly in the media streaming domain, including playback, ads, content delivery, and user flows.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles, demonstrating a strong background in automation frameworks and testing methodologies. Proficiency with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar is essential. Experience with API testing, including REST and authentication protocols, is required. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins is necessary to streamline testing workflows. Candidates should have a solid understanding of test architecture, best practices, and experience building automation frameworks from the ground up. Additional experience working in monorepo environments and a strong communication and ownership mindset are highly valued. Knowledge of media or streaming platforms, including video playback protocols (HLS, DASH), DRM content, ad insertion, and streaming device testing (CTV, Smart TVs, mobile apps), will be considered a significant advantage.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks utilizing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies.
