About the Company



We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join a growing enterprise technology organization focused on modernizing and automating large-scale hybrid infrastructure environments.



About the Role



This individual will play a key role in driving automation initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, identity, and platform engineering teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enterprise automation practices across both Windows and Linux environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges through automation, improving platform reliability, and reducing manual administrative overhead across complex enterprise systems. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting a highly collaborative engineering environment within the financial services and insurance space.



Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation frameworks
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, and operational workflows
  • Support automation initiatives across hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Partner with cloud, security, platform, identity, and infrastructure teams on modernization efforts
  • Improve operational efficiency through Infrastructure as Code and automation-first practices
  • Assist with CI/CD integrations and deployment automation pipelines
  • Troubleshoot automation failures, configuration drift, and infrastructure-related issues
  • Develop reusable automation standards and technical documentation
  • Support enterprise platform reliability, scalability, and operational consistency
  • Participate in ongoing cloud transformation and infrastructure modernization initiatives


Qualifications



  • 4+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, DevOps, or systems engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ansible automation and configuration management
  • Experience supporting enterprise hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Strong scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience working within Azure and/or AWS cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server and Linux administration concepts
  • Experience with Active Directory and enterprise identity integrations
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and automation pipelines
  • Experience using Git and version control best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in remote team environments


Preferred Skills



  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or container orchestration platforms
  • Experience supporting enterprise identity platforms such as Entra ID, Okta, or SailPoint
  • Experience within regulated enterprise environments such as insurance or financial services
  • Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and platform reliability practices
  • Exposure to security automation or cloud security initiatives
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization projects


Pay range and compensation package



  • Competitive compensation package - $60.00-85.00 Hour DOE
