Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Off-Page SEO Specialist to join our team and help drive search visibility, rankings, and authority growth across multiple client accounts. This role is focused on off-site SEO strategies, including link building, authority development, citation management, competitive analysis, and technical SEO support.
You will work closely with our On-Page SEO Managers to ensure strategies align and campaigns are executed cohesively to maximize organic growth. This is a fully remote independent contractor position, so candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and experienced in managing SEO deliverables independently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute off-page SEO strategies to improve search rankings and domain authority
- Research, identify, and secure high-quality link-building opportunities
- Conduct competitor backlink analysis and identify strategic opportunities
- Manage and optimize local citations, business listings, and directory placements
- Collaborate closely with On-Page SEO Managers to align content, keyword, and SEO strategies
- Monitor backlink profiles and identify/remediate harmful or toxic links
- Research and implement SEO best practices and algorithm updates
- Assist in developing authority-building campaigns through partnerships, outreach, PR mentions, and digital assets
- Track, analyze, and report SEO performance, backlink growth, rankings, and opportunities
- Work with developers and content teams when technical or content-related SEO coordination is needed
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and industry best practices

- Proven experience in SEO, specifically off-page SEO and link-building
- Strong understanding of Google ranking factors, backlink profiles, and search engine algorithms
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, or similar platforms
- Experience conducting competitor SEO analysis and backlink audits
- Ability to work collaboratively with on-page/content SEO teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret SEO data
- Basic understanding of technical SEO, website structure, and SEO best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage deadlines in a fully remote work environment
- Agency experience is a plus
