Job Description
About Odontyn
Odontyn is a market place and dental practice-management platform used by clinics, dentists, and their patients. It covers clinical records, appointments, billing, imaging, telehealth, and integration with external health systems. The product is already in production, and we're actively building on it.
The role
We're hiring one experienced full-stack developer to own Odontyn outright: the Laravel
backend, the React frontend, and the AWS infrastructure it runs on. You'd be the only developer on the product. You work directly with the founder, who sets product direction, but how the system is built and how it runs is yours to decide. It's a good fit if you've owned a production system on your own before. You should be steady at shipping, confident making technical decisions, and comfortable working without close oversight.
Tech stack
- Backend:Â PHP 8.3, Laravel 12, Filament v4, MySQL/MariaDB, Laravel Reverb (websockets)
- Frontend:Â TypeScript, React 19, Vite, TanStack Router and Query, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
- Infrastructure:Â AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, KMS), Stripe billing
- Integrations:Â HL7 / NABIDH health-system interoperability, real-time updates, OpenAI, Deepgram, cloud.
What you'll do
- Maintain and extend the Laravel API (around 100 data models and 490 endpoints) and the role-based React single-page app.
- Build new features end to end, mostly small to medium, with some larger ones.
- Own the AWS side: deployments, EC2/RDS/S3, and setting up a proper CI/CD pipeline, since there isn't one yet.
- Keep production healthy: queue workers, websockets, billing, and monitoring.
- Improve test coverage and code quality as you go.
- Work closely with the founder on priorities and delivery.
