About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to join our talented Digital Product team as a remote contractor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading brands and contribute to the development of scalable, responsive, and high-performance digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web development, a strong technical background, and a keen eye for detail. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, project managers, and our technical leadership to craft innovative web experiences that meet client needs and push the boundaries of modern web technology. This position is suitable for individuals looking for flexible full-time or contractual work, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience working within the WordPress platform, including PHP, WordPress API, or WP GraphQL.
• 3+ years of experience working with modern web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, ES Next, and Babel.
• Experience with code bundlers and build systems like Gulp, Webpack, or Snowpack.
• Proficiency with CSS pre/post-processors such as Sass, Less, and Post-CSS.
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks like Vue, React, Nuxt, or Next.js, including headless implementations or server-side rendering (SSR).
• Experience with front-end animation libraries such as GSAP, Tween, or Anime.js.
• Strong QA, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX and UI designers to develop responsive, scalable, and innovative front-end experiences.
• Build and enhance digital platforms that prioritize performance and user engagement.
• Develop custom WordPress websites utilizing internal tools and frameworks.
• Create tailored web applications to meet specific client technological requirements.
• Deploy and maintain websites through automated deployment processes on VPS servers or manually via FTP and SSH.
• Work closely with project management teams to scope new functionalities and features.
• Support sales teams by providing technical insights during project scoping.
• Partner with the Technical Director to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions.
• Maintain a proactive approach to troubleshooting, debugging, and QA to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.
