Job Description
A newly launched African restaurant in Albania is looking for a creative, results-driven Social Media Manager to build and grow its online presence from the ground up. This is a remote role, and we're open to candidates from anywhere.
As the digital voice of the brand, you will be responsible for translating the "soul" of Africa’s hospitality into a visual and narrative style that resonates with both the local Albanian community and international residents. You will collaborate closely with photographers in Africa and Albania to build a world-class digital presence from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, maybe LinkedIn.
- Plan and manage a consistent content calendar.
- Create educational and engaging content that introduces African ingredients, flavors, and dining traditions to a market unfamiliar with the cuisine.
- Identify and collaborate with local Albanian food influencers, expats, and lifestyle bloggers to drive brand awareness.
- Coordinate with the food photographer to source and schedule visual content.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and DMs, and grow the community.
- Track performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and report monthly.
- Turn enquiries to bookers
- Manage our online food order platform
- Manage a monthly ad budget to drive "Table Bookings" and "Grand Opening" awareness using Meta Ads (Instagram/TikTok).
- Stay on top of trends relevant to food, lifestyle, and the Albanian market.

Requirements
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand, restaurant, or F&B business (portfolio/examples of managed accounts required)
- Strong copywriting skills in English (knowledge of Albanian is a bonus)
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, or similar)
- Understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms and best practices
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without micromanagement
- Reliable internet connection and strong communication skills.
- A deep appreciation for African culture and the ability to communicate its value to a global audience.
- Strong proficiency in mobile video editing (CapCut, InShot, etc.) and design tools (Canva, Adobe Express).
