Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is currently seeking multiple full-time Executive Support Specialists to work in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate at Hill Air Force Base near Layton, Utah.

This announcement seeks to fill multiple NH-301-03 positions (205975, 988410) which have an anticipated 2026 salary range of $89,508 - $138,370. *Recruitment, Relocation, Retention, and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized

The primary purpose of these positions is to serve as Executive Support Specialists for the ICBM Systems Directorate.

The ICBM Systems Directorate’s mission is to deliver, sustain, modernize, and support ICBMs and associated infrastructure for the United States. The directorate is responsible for providing the most responsive capability and backbone of nuclear deterrence for Air Force Global Strike Command through the following program offices: LGM-30G Minuteman III, LGM-35A Sentinel.

DUTIES:

  • Staff advisor supporting the OSF staff overseeing S&E, Logistics, or Program Management in the ICBM Directorate.
  • Analyzing and recommending adjustments to manpower authorizations, position structure, mix of skills, optimal use of personnel funding, etc.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive recruitment and retention strategies; advise hiring managers through the full lifecycle (selection, hiring, onboarding), screen resumes, and facilitate collaborative interview panels.
  • Setting personnel action priorities and assisting with justifications for recruitment, relocation and retention incentives.
  • Managing intern recruiting, rotations, mentoring, and meaningful projects.
  • Drafting and implementing ICMB policy for the S&E, Logistics, or Program Management workforces.
  • Coordinate projects and tasking on behalf of OSFs, ensuring priority actions and those of particular interest are properly staffed and executed throughout the organization.
  • Analyze operations to determine compliance with established guidelines, operational procedures, internal controls, and progress in meeting program goals and objectives.
  • Create, modify, and analyze, as required, the administrative operations and processes to ensure all actions, procedures, correspondence and instructions are effective and coherent.
  • Provide policy interpretation and functional recommendations on diverse management issues, programs and systems.
  • Build formal training templates and plans; advise employees on training requirements, career broadening assignments, and pathways for professional advancement within and beyond AFNWC.

SKILLS:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal civilian personnel management, including processes for ACRs, RPAs, and strategic recruiting.
  • Experience managing or coordinating talent management programs, such as internships, training programs, or other Force Renewal initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing personnel actions and projects simultaneously.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organizational elements of Team Hill, AFNWC, Air Force Materiel Command, as well as a working knowledge of other commands, Air Staff, United States Air Force, Department of Air Force, Office of Secretary of Defense and other agencies is highly valued.
  • Expertise in executive writing and the ability to reliably deliver error-free, high-quality products that effectively communicate the messages and themes of the supported senior leader is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Department of the AF/DoD regulations, instructions and policies for Compliance based Program execution is valued.
  • Ability to communicate in a logical and clear manner, both orally and in writing is desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment is valued.
  • Familiarity and experience using tools such as MS Teams and suite MS Office products, for project tracking and management is desired.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations.
  • These positions have been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employees must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
