Senior DevOps Engineer – This role requires relocation to Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪

Working with a fast-growing, well-funded technology company in Abu Dhabi building advanced software systems for government organisations complex, mission-critical infrastructure that needs to run flawlessly, at all times.
This isn't a cloud-native platform job. They need someone who actually knows Linux at depth kernel tuning, server provisioning, VMware, physical and virtualised environments. Someone who automates everything and owns the infrastructure end-to-end rather than managing someone else's setup.
The role sits at the core of the engineering operation. You'll be the person keeping the systems that power cutting-edge applications running, secure and optimised and building the automation that makes that scalable.

**What you'll actually do:**
- Manage and maintain Linux servers across physical and virtualised environments high availability, high performance
- Build and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning, deployment and configuration management
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with security policies across the infrastructure
- Troubleshoot server and network issues and lead root cause analysis when things go wrong
- Develop and own CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the engineering teams
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents when they happen
- Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth, reliable application deployment

**What you bring:**
- 8+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer and you can show what you've built and automated
- VMware and virtualisation experience in both physical and virtual environments
- Strong Ansible and/or Terraform you write automation, not just use it
- Shell scripting and Python at a serious level server provisioning, deployment scripts, configuration management
- Network design knowledge including QoS you understand what's happening below the application layer
- Docker and an understanding of microservices and containerisation
- CI/CD experience - Jenkins, GitLab or equivalent
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field
