Director of IT, Identity & Security
Remote (U.S.-based) | $160-180K
We’re partnering with a stable and fully remote SaaS organization to hire a Director of IT, Identity & Security. This is a high-impact role responsible for owning identity & access management (IAM), endpoint security, and SaaS systems across the business.
This is not a traditional IT support role—this person will serve as the strategic and operational leader of IT and security, driving automation, improving access controls, and modernizing a growing tech environment.
What You’ll Do
- Own and scale Identity & Access Management (IAM) (SSO, provisioning, RBAC, access governance)
- Implement and improve endpoint/device management (MDM, BYOD, security compliance)
- Replace manual processes (e.g., spreadsheets) with automated, scalable solutions
- Drive systems integration and automation across core tools (Google Workspace, Slack, CRM, etc.)
- Partner closely with Engineering and DevOps to ensure secure, efficient access and workflows
- Improve and standardize onboarding/offboarding and access controls
- Own IT-related security tooling and controls in partnership with external providers
- Manage and mentor a small IT function (1 direct report)
- Act as the face of IT & Security, leading communication, rollout, and adoption across the company

What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years in IT, Security Engineering, or Infrastructure roles
- Experience owning IT in a cloud-first, SaaS environment
- Strong hands-on experience with IAM/SSO tools (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf, Kandji, etc.)
- Proven ability to automate workflows and integrate systems (APIs, SaaS platforms)
- Experience supporting security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level
