Senior Power BI Developer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer in Brazil.

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming and modernizing enterprise analytics environments by migrating complex Tableau dashboards into scalable Power BI solutions. You will work on designing robust data models, optimizing reporting performance, and enabling self-service analytics for business users across multiple domains. The position requires strong technical depth in BI development, combined with the ability to translate legacy reporting logic into modern data structures and DAX-based calculations. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable reporting systems. This is a fully remote opportunity within a fast-moving environment where precision, performance, and clarity in data storytelling are essential. You will also play a key role in training users and shaping BI best practices post-migration.

Accountabilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of Tableau dashboards and reports into Power BI, including logic, layout, and data connectivity
• Analyze existing Tableau environments and document reports, calculations, and data sources to support migration planning
• Build and optimize Power BI semantic models for scalable, enterprise-level reporting and analytics
• Develop advanced DAX measures replicating complex Tableau calculations, including time intelligence, rolling metrics, and comparisons
• Design and deliver high-performance, user-friendly dashboards with strong visual consistency and usability standards
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean, reliable, and optimized data pipelines
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for business users transitioning from Tableau to Power BI
• Document migration decisions, data models, and DAX logic to ensure maintainability and scalability
• Advise on Power BI governance, workspace structure, and BI best practices
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including reporting and semantic modeling
• Strong proficiency in DAX with experience replicating complex analytical logic
• Experience with time intelligence, rolling metrics, cumulative totals, and dynamic filtering scenarios
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including facts, dimensions, and relationships
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations for non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Tableau development or Tableau-to-Power BI migration is a strong plus
• Familiarity with SQL and data platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, or Synapse is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools or modern data pipelines (ADF, Databricks, Alteryx) is a plus
• Consulting or client-facing BI experience is an advantage
