Senior Frontend Developer

Job Title: Frontend Developer

Location: Appleton, WI (Predominantly remote with the expectation of a couple of days onsite per month)

Pay: Varies, but target is in the $50-$65/hr W2 rate, with a conversion salary target of 100-120k

Key Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience working across multiple JavaScript frameworks, with strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep expertise in React, including functional components, effective use of hooks, state management approaches, and integration with external APIs.
• Proven ability to enhance user interface performance and ensure smooth responsiveness across various browsers and device types.
• Hands-on experience with mapping and geospatial libraries such as Mapbox, Google Maps APIs, Esri, or similar technologies.
• Strong grasp of modern front-end practices, including responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience improving application performance through techniques such as bundling optimization, code splitting, and the use of tools like Webpack, Lighthouse, and other build utilities.
• Working knowledge of RESTful services, GraphQL, and common front-end integration patterns.

• Experience collaborating within Agile teams and using modern development workflows, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS services like Amplify, S3, or CloudFront).

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with geospatial data types and formats, such as GeoJSON, shapefiles, or KMZ.
• Understanding of workflows related to network planning or infrastructure deployment (e.g., telecommunications or utilities).
• Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
• Exposure to advanced front-end patterns such as server-side rendering, or state management solutions like React Query or Redux.
