A passion for golf combined with sales team leadership experience working for a luxury tour operator is essential for this Director of Sales job. Working in a remote capacity this role offers a base salary of up to $120,000 DOE plus a variable compensation package. This is a player-manager sales leadership role with full ownership of pipeline, conversion and revenue delivery, leading a small team across international markets while carrying a personal quota.

Our client is an award-winning luxury golf travel specialist creating fully hosted, bespoke experiences for discerning golf travellers at some of the world’s finest links destinations. They are now seeking a Director of Sales to take primary ownership of the sales function — assessing what exists, reinforcing what works, and embedding the operating discipline needed to deliver consistent, scalable revenue growth in close partnership with the Founder and CEO.






▌ The Role


In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales function — carrying a personal quota, leading a small existing team, and building the operating infrastructure that enables consistent, high-quality revenue delivery across international markets.


  • Own revenue outcomes across the sales function, accountable for pipeline conversion rate, deal velocity, and delivery against monthly and quarterly targets
  • Carry a personal quota and lead by example, converting high-value opportunities in a relationship-led, internationally operating business
  • Drive urgency across all active opportunities — enforce next steps, surface stalled deals quickly, and make follow-through the standard
  • Establish and embed a consistent operating cadence: pipeline reviews, deal progression check-ins, forecasting and team rhythm meetings
  • Own the forecasting process, producing accurate and consistent revenue projections that enable confident business planning
  • Assess, reinforce and evolve the existing sales infrastructure, refining metrics, reporting and performance dashboards
  • Lead, coach and hold accountable a small sales team to clearly defined activity standards, pipeline discipline and revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong Guest relationships across international markets, ensuring the company remains the trusted partner of choice
  • Champion the brand standard across every Guest interaction, from enquiry through to post-trip, without compromising on commercial pace
  • Travel at short notice to represent the business at the highest level when major deals or key events require in-person presence

  • Demonstrable experience selling high-consideration, relationship-driven products to affluent, high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth buyers
  • A track record of coaching and developing a b2c tour operating sales function
  • Deep comfort operating in an online-to-offline sales environment: receiving, qualifying and converting leads generated through digital channels
  • Strong CRM fluency, preferably Salesforce, with genuine commitment to data-driven pipeline management and reporting visibility
  • Proven examples of salespeople whose performance you have materially improved through coaching, standards and accountability
  • Comfortable and credible carrying a personal quota alongside team leadership responsibilities
  • Professional presence appropriate to a luxury brand — naturally at ease with discerning, affluent buyers and premium environments
  • Comfortable operating across time zones in a remote setting, and ready to travel at short notice
