About The Role
We are seeking a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team and help expand our test automation capabilities, primarily focusing on web application automation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about software quality and modern testing practices to contribute meaningfully to public health technology. As a Junior QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for InductiveHealth’s web-based products, such as WebIZ and other public health applications. You will collaborate closely with QA engineers and developers to identify high-value test scenarios, automate critical user workflows, and enhance testing efficiency, speed, and repeatability across our complex product suite. Your work will help ensure our software remains reliable, secure, and compliant with accessibility standards such as 508 compliance. This fully remote position provides a platform to build practical automation skills, gain exposure to AI-driven testing tools, and contribute to solutions that directly support public health initiatives worldwide.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing, including QA automation
- Hands-on experience developing automation scripts for web applications
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation tools
- Familiarity with Playwright is a plus
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python and/or TypeScript
- Exposure to AI/ML tools in testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) is highly valued
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and bug life cycle
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment

- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for critical web application workflows using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright frameworks
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to understand application behavior and implement comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Continuously improve test coverage and reliability through regular updates and enhancements to automated test suites
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate scripting, debugging, and maintenance processes
