Role Overview
Our client is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own strategic customer deployments end-to-end. This is a true FDE role, not a narrow implementation or solutions engineering position.
The ideal candidate acts like a “GM of the customer”: technical enough to build, product-minded enough to shape the roadmap, and customer-oriented enough to own outcomes like expansion, retention, and time-to-go-live.

The role is roughly 70–80% customer-facing while still requiring strong hands-on engineering ability.
What You’ll Do
- Own enterprise deployments from discovery through production rollout
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows and pain points
- Build integrations, prototypes, and lightweight features
- Configure AI/LLM-powered workflows in real customer environments
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements
- Drive metrics like expansion, retention, adoption, and time-to-go-live
- Build reusable platform capabilities rather than one-off implementations

Ideal Background
- 3–8 years of experience in FDE, Solutions Engineering, Applied AI, Product Engineering, or customer-facing SWE roles
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, ML pipelines, APIs, integrations, or workflow automation
- Strong product and business mindset
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise stakeholders
- High-agency, founder-like ownership style
- Startup or AI-native company experience preferred
