Cloud Operations and Development Lead - European Sovereign Cloud

The Role

• Play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams for a new European Sovereign Cloud initiative.

• Deliver high-availability cloud services, including compute, storage, database, and AI services, exclusively for EU customers.

• Contribute to the smooth operation of the cloud infrastructure, collaborating with global teams to influence service evolution.

• Enhance day-to-day operations, focusing on availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.

• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside of standard working hours.

What You'll Need

• Proven systems engineering experience with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems.

• Expertise in Linux and networking, with advanced system diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.

• Proficiency in Python, Perl, or another scripting language for automation.

• Experience in developing and improving standard operational procedures and driving best practices.

• Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement robust monitoring for critical systems.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, or Generative AI technologies.
