Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Fully Remote
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Pay Rate: £300 - £350 per day
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and security
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Ensure robust logging, monitoring, and alerting systems are in place
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and reliability
DevOps Key Skills required:
- 5+ years in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineer role
- Docker and Kubernetes
- RabbitMQ, Kafka and Postgresql
- Python scripting
- Configuration management tools e.g Ansible, Terraform, YAML
- Git, Github Actions, Jenkins
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices
- Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
