Junior Frontend Developer

Pixel Systems builds the internal software that makes companies run better. We focus on the practical tools that teams use every day: admin panels, inventory trackers, and custom system integrations. Our team is currently helping a major Nordic logistics group centralize their digital reporting systems. This project includes building web interfaces for a new distribution hub in Latvia, which requires building stable, reliable tools that help local staff transition away from manual data entry.

In this role
You will contribute to the development of internal web applications that help logistics managers monitor their operations. This is a junior position where you will work on the frontend and basic backend logic of tools that prioritize utility over visual flair. Your work will directly help a large scale organization move their paper based processes into a centralized digital format.

What you will be doing

• Building and updating responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript libraries.
• Connecting frontend components to internal company APIs to display warehouse data.
• Writing clear documentation for every screen and feature you develop.
• Participating in weekly progress calls to demonstrate new features to the internal team.
• Fixing bugs and making adjustments based on feedback from the logistics operations staff.
• Updating README files to ensure that all internal tools are easy to maintain for future developers.
• Collaborating with senior developers to ensure consistent code quality across the project.

What we are looking for

• A basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Some exposure to a frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and basic pull request workflows.
• Comfortable reading through existing documentation to understand how a system works.
• A preference for building tools that are stable and easy to use.
• Ability to explain your technical decisions in a straightforward manner.
• An interest in how software can improve physical operations like shipping and storage.

Employment setup
This is a permanent, full time, fully remote position. The role is a remote engagement with Pixel Systems, which is based in the United States. While the work is connected to a specific logistics project in Latvia, candidates from any location are welcome to apply if they can maintain the necessary timezone overlap. This is a paid position. We require a consistent overlap of at least four hours with both US Eastern Time and Eastern European Time to ensure we can coordinate effectively across our international team.
