OB are partnered with a leading retail organisation who are looking for an experienced Optimisation Engineer to join their team on a contract basis, helping solve complex optimisation challenges at scale.
You’ll be working closely with engineering, data and business teams to design and build optimisation solutions that directly impact key operational decisions across the organisation.
We’re looking for someone with a strong Software Engineering background combined with deep Operations Research expertise, who can take optimisation models from concept through to production.
Key experience required:

✔ 5+ years’ commercial Software Engineering / Optimisation Engineering experience
âś” Strong background in Operations Research & Mathematical Optimisation
âś” Hands-on experience across:
• Linear Optimisation
• Mixed Integer Programming (MIP)
• Mathematical Modelling
• Optimisation Solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools etc.)
âś” Strong Python engineering experience
âś” Experience delivering scalable optimisation systems
âś” Comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus experience:
âž• Retail, logistics, supply chain or pricing optimisation
