Contract Designer

Position Summary

Orchid is seeking a versatile Designer on a contract basis to support brand and marketing efforts across digital and print channels spanning website mockups, presentation decks, product visuals, social media content, and motion graphics. The ideal candidate brings a strong visual eye, moves fast, and fully embraces AI tools as part of their creative workflow. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to ramp into a full-time role.

What You Will Do

• Design website page mockups, landing pages, and UI assets with clear developer handoff specs.
• Create polished slide decks for investor, partner, and internal presentations, including reusable templates.
• Produce design concepts for product packaging, materials, and customer-facing touchpoints.

• Design static and animated assets for social media across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and other platforms.
• Create motion graphics, animated explainers, and short-form video content for social, web, and presentations.
• Maintain brand consistency across all outputs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of professional design experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating range across web, brand, social, and motion.
• An AI-native designer who actively integrates tools like Claude and Descript into your workflow. You see AI as a force multiplier and are always exploring new ways to use it.
• Expert in Figma (required). Strong in Adobe Creative Suite and motion tools (After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or equivalent).

Other Requirements

• Must be available during reasonable overlap with US Pacific Time working hours.
• Open to candidates based in the US or internationally. Fully remote.
