Job Description

Social Media Marketer

Swym | India (Remote) | Full-Time

The Role

Swym works with thousands of merchants who trust us with some of the most valuable data in retail: real shopper intent. We have a presence on social media. What we need now is someone to take it seriously and make it work harder.

Your job is to grow Swym's social channels into a reliable source of awareness and trust with the merchants and operators we care about most. You will own LinkedIn, Instagram, and any channel where our audience spends time professionally. You will create content that earns attention, builds the brand, and feeds the top of the growth funnel. You will do this with AI running alongside you at every step.

We are looking for someone who is deeply fluent in how social works today, moves fast, has sharp instincts about what earns engagement from a B2B audience, and uses AI to produce output that reflects genuine craft, not just volume.

About Swym

Swym is an AI-first company. That is not a positioning statement. It describes how we operate, day to day, in every function.

Our team is lean by design. We work at a level of leverage that is not possible the traditional way. Across Product, Marketing, Sales, and CX, the work is built around AI agents, automated workflows, and tools that execute tasks autonomously while humans drive strategy and sign off. We do not hire people who are experimenting with AI. We hire people who have already made it load-bearing in their work and are looking for an environment that demands more of it, not less.

What You’ll Do

Own the social calendar and make it worth following. LinkedIn is your primary channel. Instagram is secondary. You will build and run a content calendar that is consistent, on-brand, and genuinely useful to the merchants and operators who follow us. Not promotional noise. Content that earns a follow.

Turn company activity into social content. Product launches, merchant case studies, data insights, event appearances, hiring milestones. None of it should go unnoticed. Your job is to find the social angle in everything Swym does and get it out fast, in the right format for the right channel.

Use AI to produce more and produce better. You will not be writing from a blank page. You will be directing AI to generate first drafts, format content for different channels, test hooks, and repurpose long-form content into short-form posts. Your judgment is the filter. The AI is the engine.

Build a content library that compounds. One good piece of content should live in six places. A merchant case study becomes a LinkedIn carousel, a short-form quote post, an Instagram graphic, a thread, and an email snippet. You will build the habit of repurposing systematically, not as an afterthought.

Track what works and change what does not. Follower growth, reach, engagement rate, and profile visits that convert to website traffic. You will pull these weekly, spot the patterns, and adjust. Not because someone asked you to. Because you are curious about why some things land and others do not.

Support campaign launches and events. When Swym launches a guide, attends an event, or runs a campaign, social is part of the activation. You will own the social component of every launch from brief to post-mortem.

Grow the brand through community participation. Engaging with the right conversations in the Shopify merchant community, the ecommerce operator space, and the broader Shopify partner ecosystem. Commenting with something worth reading. Not just liking and moving on.

Requirements

Non-negotiable
  • Genuine social fluency. You spend time on LinkedIn and Instagram not because it is your job but because you are genuinely interested in how content works. You notice what earns engagement and you have opinions about why. You can look at a post and tell us, specifically, what is wrong with it.
  • AI-native working style. You use AI tools as a primary part of how you work. You know how to prompt for social copy, how to repurpose long-form content with AI assistance, and how to produce a week of content in the time it used to take to produce one piece. We will assess this directly in the interview process.
  • Speed and output quality together. Social is a fast medium. You move fast. But fast without quality is noise. The standard is content that earns engagement from a B2B audience who sees dozens of posts a day and skips most of them.
  • Strong writing instincts. Short-form copy is harder than long-form. You know how to write a hook. You know when a caption is too long. You have a clear, direct writing style and you apply it consistently.
  • 1 to 3 years of social media experience, in-house or agency. We care more about the quality of what you have built and your instincts about what works than the years on the CV.

Strongly preferred
  • Experience running B2B social, particularly LinkedIn. Understanding of how B2B content earns attention differently from B2C.
  • Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem or ecommerce more broadly. Knowing who our audience is before day one shortens the ramp significantly.
  • Basic design capability. Canva-level is fine. You do not need to be a designer. You need to be able to produce a clean, on-brand graphic without waiting for one.
  • Experience building AI workflows for content production: generating copy variants, repurposing assets, summarising long-form content into social formats.
  • A track record of growing an audience, not just maintaining one.

What Doesn’t Fit

  • People who measure success by follower count alone. Growth matters. But growth of the wrong audience is noise.
  • Anyone who treats social as a broadcast channel. This role requires genuine engagement with the communities our merchants are part of.
  • Candidates who need a fully formed brief before they can produce anything. The brief will often be incomplete. You will need to fill the gaps.
  • People who are not already using AI in their content workflow. This role is built around AI-assisted production. If you are not there yet, this is not the place to start.

What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months

Months 1 to 3: Get sharp fast. Deep product knowledge established. You can explain what Swym does and why it matters to a merchant in one post. Content calendar running consistently. AI workflow stack built for your function. First month of content published and measured.

Months 4 to 6: Build momentum. Follower growth on LinkedIn and Instagram moving in the right direction. Engagement rate above category benchmark. At least three pieces of content that significantly outperformed. A clear point of view on which content types earn the most attention from our ICP and a calendar that reflects it.

Months 7 to 12: Scale what works. Social is a reliable source of top-of-funnel awareness for the growth model. Campaign launches have a social component that is planned, not bolted on. The content library is deep enough that repurposing is the default, not the exception. You are not just running the calendar. You are improving it systematically and you can show your work.

How We Work

Swym operates on a human-in-the-loop model. Agents research, draft, and format. Humans make judgment calls, write the final word, and own the outcome.

In this role, that means your time is not spent reformatting the same post for three channels by hand or pulling engagement reports manually. AI handles the first draft, the repurposing, and the reporting summaries. Your job is to direct that process with good taste, apply judgment about what actually earns attention, and build a social presence that reflects Swym accurately.

The expectation is not that you use AI when it is convenient. It is that you have redesigned how you work around it and are always looking for the next thing to hand off.

The team is small and the trust is high. If you show up with genuine channel instincts and good AI craft, the scope of what you own will grow fast.

Why This, Why Now

The brands Swym serves are at the front edge of a structural shift in retail. First-party shopper intent data is becoming the most valuable signal in ecommerce. Swym sits at the centre of that shift with 49,000+ customers and a data moat that widens every quarter.

Social is how we make sure the merchants who need Swym know we exist and trust what we do. Done with AI at the centre, one person in this role can build and run a presence that used to take a team. That is the opportunity.

If you want to grow something real, in an environment that does not just permit AI-native execution but requires it, this is your moment.

Our Vibe

We’re a close-knit, fully-remote crew that never forgot our scrappy startup roots. Trust is sacred. Teamwork is the superpower. Our data-driven culture is built around making our merchants the heroes of their own stories.
