🏗️ Where the platform is today

You'd be inheriting a live production platform serving real monitoring centres — a working product with real customers. The infrastructure layer is where the biggest build-out opportunity sits: taking it to a fully reproducible, observable, multi-region platform is the heart of this role. If building strong foundations under a working product is the work you want, this is exactly it.

🎯 The role

You are the infrastructure function. You will own the GCP stack, build and enforce CI/CD best practices, and ensure 24/7 reliability for a voice AI platform where call latency and uptime directly affect service delivery. You will also design the infrastructure-level guardrails within which our agentic pipelines operate, and own the latency decisions that keep alarm calls fast and reliable as we scale internationally.

To make the stakes concrete: when an alarm fires, our voice AI is what reaches the keyholder. A dropped call or a latency spike isn't a degraded metric — it's a security response that doesn't happen. You own the infrastructure that keeps that reliable as we scale across regions and clients.

You will, in close collaboration with the CTO:

▸ Progressively take ownership of all GCP infrastructure in Terraform: no manual provisioning, everything reproducible and auditable

▸ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) across all repositories, enforcing best practices

▸ Plan & execute cloud migrations (Cloud Run and possibly GKE later)

▸ Configure HA across critical services and test fallback routes regularly to avoid vendor lock-in

▸ Improve end-to-end call latency: geoproximity deployment, multi-region routing

▸ Design and enforce infrastructure-level guardrails for agentic pipelines

▸ Operate and improve the current Supabase stack, with the option to lead a later migration to Cloud SQL or another GCP-native database service

▸ Build infrastructure to a standard that supports SOC2 Type 2 and ISO27001 certification, which we expect to pursue within the next 12 months as we grow into larger enterprise clients, partnering with the CTO on the certification programme when it begins

✅ You bring

Required

▸ 5+ years of production DevOps/infrastructure experience, including real critical downtime situations

▸ Significant hands-on GCP experience (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, LB, VPC, IAM, Secret Manager, Monitoring)

▸ Production Kubernetes — GKE strongly preferred

▸ Production Terraform: modules, state management, multi-environment

▸ Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions preferred)

▸ Experience with database providers such as Supabase or managed PostgreSQL in production

▸ Good working knowledge of using AI in DevOps workflows

▸ Experience with low-latency infrastructure

Nice to have

▸ Experience with telephony infrastructure (SBC, SIP, low-latency voice routing)

▸ Experience designing cloud infrastructure for agentic pipelines and placing appropriate guardrails

▸ Experience with international, multi-region infrastructure

▸ Experience owning 24/7 systems

▸ Experience building or operating infrastructure in a SOC2 / ISO27001 / equivalent regulated environment
