About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH, with the flexibility of remote work. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning solutions that support mission-critical systems. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable models, developing training pipelines, and collaborating closely with data engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deep learning architectures, model deployment, and data engineering, with a focus on supporting federal and enterprise-level projects requiring TS/SCI clearance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI/ML initiatives that directly impact national security and technological advancement.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing model architectures including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and transformer-based models
  • Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and object detection systems such as YOLO and Faster R-CNN
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow frameworks
  • Familiarity with Hugging Face, Ollama, or similar AI/ML frameworks
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including feature engineering, dataset preparation, and data versioning tools like lakeFS
  • Understanding of metadata standards such as STAC
  • Ability to create clear and comprehensive AI/ML training runbooks and documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance or the ability to obtain one
