The Role

We're looking for a Visual Designer who can own the entire design output for Unimad's marketing. Social media creatives, ad campaigns, emailers, carousels, stories, and everything in between.

You'll work directly with the founding team, marketing, content writers, and product managers. Not in a "get a brief and disappear" kind of way. More like, "jump on a call, riff on ideas, sketch something wild, ship it by Thursday."

This is a hands-on, high-output role. You'll be designing a lot. And you'll have real say in how Unimad looks and feels across every touchpoint.

What you'll actually do?

• Design social media creatives for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms - posts, carousels, stories, reels covers.
• Create ad creatives for paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and wherever else we show up.
• Design email templates and marketing emailers.
• Collaborate with writers and marketers.
• Build and maintain design systems and templates in Figma that keep everything consistent and fast.
• Do basic video editing - trimming, adding text overlays, stitching clips together for reels and short-form content. You don't need to be a motion graphics wizard, but you should know your way around a timeline.
• Use AI tools as part of your daily workflow. We run on Magnific, Claude, Gemini, and whatever else makes the work better and faster. You'll be expected to prompt, iterate, upscale, and integrate AI outputs into polished final designs.
• Work within (and help evolve) the Unimad brand system. We have a detailed brand book. You'll live in it.

What we're looking for?

Figma fluency is non-negotiable. You should be able to move fast and keep files clean.

A strong portfolio showing social media design, ad creatives, or marketing collateral work. Show us what you've shipped, not just what you've concepted.

A good eye for typography, color, and layout. You don't need a degree in design theory, but you should know when something looks off and know how to fix it.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, startup-paced environment. Expect short briefs and tight timelines.

Basic video editing skills

Understanding of social media formats, safe zones, and what performs well across platforms.

Someone who's curious, opinionated about design, and brings ideas to the table without being asked.

Comfortable with AI tools in your design process.

Bonus Points

Experience designing for edtech, career platforms, or student-facing products.

Illustration or custom graphic skills.

Familiarity with tools like Canva (for quick turnarounds), After Effects (for light motion work).

You've worked at an early-stage startup before and know what "wearing multiple hats" actually means.
