The role

We're hiring a Senior SEO Strategist to own the quality of our delivery. You'll work directly with the two founders and become the senior production lead behind every active client account.

Full-time, fully remote, AEST overlap hours required (Brisbane time, GMT+10).

You will own:

• Content quality control on every client deliverable before it goes out
• Technical SEO decisions across all accounts (audits, schema, Core Web Vitals, indexation, site architecture)
• On-page optimisation strategy for every client portfolio
• Day-to-day management of our offshore freelance pool (writers, link builders, technical specialists)
• Monthly reporting QA before client reports are sent
• Strategy input on every active campaign through our internal AI platform

You will NOT own in the first six months:

• Client-facing strategy calls
• Sales conversations
• New client onboarding
• This is a behind-the-scenes senior role. The founders handle clients. You make sure the work is exceptional.

Who we're looking for

Must-haves:

• 5+ years agency-side SEO experience, with a real portfolio of clients you can speak to
• Strong technical SEO. You can explain Core Web Vitals fixes, schema implementations, indexation diagnostics, and log-file analysis without Googling
• Proven content strategy capability. You've planned calendars, written briefs, edited senior writers
• Native or near-native English, written and spoken. Australian/UK English preferred for written work
• Comfortable managing freelancers and contractors. You've held people accountable before
• Demonstrated experience with local SEO and Google Business Profile work
• High agency and drive. You finish what you start. You don't need to be chased. You take ownership without being asked

Nice-to-haves:

• Australian or UK market experience
• Confident in Semrush, Ahrefs, GSC, GA4
• Familiar with ClickUp
• Heavy AI tool user (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) in your existing SEO workflow
• Experience with service-based businesses (trades, accountants, financial advisers, legal)

• You've never been responsible for delivery quality across a portfolio

• TBC depending on experience

Selection process

• Application review (within 7 days)

• Initial video interview (45 minutes) with founders
• Paid trial project (Approximately 5-7 hours of work) - a real client audit and 30-day priority plan
• Final interview with both founders (60 minutes)
• Reference checks
