Job Description



Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a QA Tester / Automation Engineer at SS Exim. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for web and software applications, including both manual and automated tests. You will analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, document test results, and report defects in a clear and structured way. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with developers and product stakeholders to clarify expected behavior, performing regression and functional testing, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. You will also help refine testing documentation, support test planning, and ensure that delivered features meet quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Quality Assurance and Manual Testing skills, including understanding of QA methodologies and test lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with Test Execution and creating, maintaining, and reviewing Test Cases.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and validating fixes.
  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is preferred.
  • Experience working with issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello) and version control (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is an advantage.
