Summary

This position for the Defense Information Systems Agency may be located at Alexandria, Virginia; Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Meade, Maryland; Gunter AFB, Alabama; Hill AFB, Utah; Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; San Antonio, Texas; Scott AFB, Illinois; Tinker AFB, Oklahoma .

Duties

  • Serve as the Project Manager for major HR initiatives in support of the Department of War (Dow) Human Resources Initiatives and Workforce Planning.
  • Develops, evaluates and implements guidance and procedures concerning complex Federal civilian HR staffing, pay/compensation, policies and programs impacting the agency's civilian workforce.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the most difficult and complex Federal civilian HR staffing/recruitment/ issues, advising other internal stakeholders on how best to resolve and interpret policies and guidance for the agency.
  • Drives HR service delivery by identifying risks to performance metrics and implementing corrective actions to ensure seamless customer support.
  • Standardizes and translates complex civilian HR policy into actionable procedures, resulting in improved metric accuracy and team performance.

  • This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

  • Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-14 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in providing technical and administrative guidance on all aspects of Federal Civilian Human Resources (HR) programs (i.e. staffing, recruitment, compensation, policy, training); AND designing and implementing agency wide training to HR staff, hiring managers, and employees within an agency; AND guides the program/project systems and processes for integration and delivery of specified HR related services within the context of broad policy or legislative mandates; AND providing direction and guidance in the Federal civilian HR areas of staffing/recruitment/compensation/policy/training, and labor & employee relations.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
