About The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join Blue Orange Digital on a part-time basis, serving as the primary HR practitioner responsible for managing all aspects of our people functions. This role is not administrative or support-oriented; instead, it requires a strategic and hands-on approach to HR management. You will work directly with the CEO and operations leadership to oversee full-cycle recruiting, ensure compliance with employment laws, administer HRIS systems, manage employee relations, and provide executive HR reporting. Your expertise will help maintain a high-performing, compliant, and engaged remote workforce across multiple states. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of practical HR experience, preferably in a small or solo HR role, and is seeking meaningful part-time work that offers autonomy and impact. This role is perfect for someone passionate about HR craft, looking for flexibility without compromising on influence or responsibility.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator, with comprehensive exposure to recruiting, compliance, and people operations
- Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle recruiting from job posting to offer acceptance
- Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, I-9 compliance, and multi-state employment regulations
- Experience as a solo or near-solo HR practitioner in organizations with 20–150 employees
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, preferably TeamTailor, and HRIS systems such as HiBob
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting policies, employee communications, and executive reports
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

- Manage the ATS (TeamTailor) end-to-end, including job postings, candidate pipeline management, interview coordination, and offer processes
- Partner with hiring managers to develop structured interview guides, role scorecards, and evaluation rubrics
- Proactively source candidates for hard-to-fill roles through LinkedIn, job boards, and referral networks
- Track and analyze sourcing effectiveness, time to fill, time to hire, and offer acceptance rates
- Maintain relationships with job board and ATS vendors, including billing and troubleshooting
- Monitor federal and state employment law changes affecting a remote, multi-state workforce and ensure ongoing compliance
- Maintain and update employee records, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensure HRIS data integrity
- Oversee onboarding documentation, system access, and new hire integration; conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins
- Handle offboarding procedures, exit interviews, COBRA notices, and final payroll coordination
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, PTO, and workplace concerns
- Support managers with performance conversations, feedback processes, and addressing employee issues
- Identify early warning signs related to retention, engagement, and culture, and escalate to leadership as needed
- Publish and analyze monthly HR metrics, including time to fill, retention, turnover, and internal mobility
- Translate HR data into actionable insights to inform leadership decisions and strategic planning
