Senior Rubrik Backup Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking an experienced Rubrik Backup Engineer to manage and support enterprise-scale data protection, backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Rubrik Enterprise Data Protection Suite, disaster recovery, ransomware protection, API integrations, and enterprise infrastructure platforms. This role requires hands-on experience in mission-critical environments and close collaboration with infrastructure, security, and application teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support Rubrik Enterprise Data Protection solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Perform Rubrik CDM to RSC migrations, cluster deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
• Build, configure, and maintain Rubrik CDM clusters while ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Manage Rubrik cluster capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization.
• Support disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and ransomware recovery initiatives using Rubrik technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backup, recovery, and data protection issues.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST and GraphQL APIs to support enterprise automation and orchestration.
• Integrate Rubrik with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Splunk, MuleSoft, and other SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to protect critical workloads, including: SAP HANA, Kubernetes, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, VMware vSphere, Virtual Machines, Active Directory

• Participate in Agile delivery processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational backup, security, and data retention policies.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.

Rubrik Expertise

• Proven experience managing complex enterprise NAS platforms in mission-critical environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Rubrik Enterprise Data Protection Suite.
• Strong experience in:

Rubrik CDM to RSC migration

Rubrik cluster deployment and configuration

Rubrik cluster version upgrades

Rubrik lifecycle management

Capacity planning and management

Disaster recovery and ransomware recovery

• Experience implementing cyber resilience and cyber recovery strategies.

Integration & Automation

• Experience with REST and GraphQL API development and integration.
• Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications and automation platforms, including:

ServiceNow

Splunk

MuleSoft

• Knowledge of intelligent automation and enterprise integration frameworks.

Infrastructure & Platform Support

• Experience protecting and managing workloads across:

SAP HANA

Kubernetes

Oracle

Microsoft SQL Server

PostgreSQL

VMware vSphere

Active Directory

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across enterprise infrastructure environments.
