About Us:

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Remote System Administrator for our Federal Government client in the National Capital Region.

Position Summary:

Our client is looking for a senior infrastructure modernization engineer who can stabilize operations while supporting migrations and cloud transformation. They are seeking a Linux System Administrator L3 to play a key role in maintaining operational stability and supporting a major infrastructure transition involving:

- Data centre relocation

- Cloud migration initiatives

- Hardware refresh activities

- Infrastructure modernization and operational stability

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Linux/RHEL environments across bare-metal, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure

• Perform installation, patching, troubleshooting, automation, and security hardening

• Support migrations involving networking, storage, virtualization, and application hosting

• Implement and maintain monitoring and configuration management solutions

• Develop runbooks including validation and rollback procedures

• Collaborate with application teams and external data centre providers

• Maintain documentation and support operational transition activities

Required Qualifications:

• Senior Linux administration experience (RHEL / Unix environments)

• Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support background

• Experience with virtualization and cloud environments

• Experience with automation and configuration management tools

• Infrastructure migration and operational support experience

• Strong documentation and change management practices

Compensation:

Salary Range: $48.44 – $77.05 per hour
