A global market-leading biotech company has a disruptive biowearable product portfolio that has added 7+ million users the last few years. The wearable AI-enabled digital products provide real time monitoring of a chronic medical condition that affects over 10% of people. The market-leading products, apps and digital services provide personal, actionable insights, are easy to use and reduce hospitalizations by up to 50%. They are scaling up their global strategic marketing team and adding a senior leadership position focused on innovation and product strategy. This is a high visibility role on a team that’s known for innovative, bold product strategies that leverage the best of both consumer digital health and medical devices.


The Opportunity

In this role you will lead customer innovation and product management from concept through product requirements for this portfolio of products, app, services and partnerships. You will lead a team of product managers, UX researchers, partnership integrators and portfolio strategists as you advance the global product offerings.


This is a broadly defined assignment where you’ll own long-range strategies, partner closely with R&D and advance actionable recommendations. All the products have digital elements, and your team will understand user needs, gather Voice of Customer and Ux Research for both patients and healthcare professionals. Experience with consumer-centric apps, digital interface and AI tools is at the core of this position.


You’re a great fit for the role if you can develop and articulate a product vision, lead with influence across multiple cross functional stakeholders, create actionable recommendations and be accountable for deliverables. You’re also an experienced people leader who can coach and develop, including other team leaders who will report to you.


While previous medical device/biotech digital product experience is a plus, there is interest in innovation from a variety of digital products including consumer wellness, banking/finance and consumer products. Innovation from patient/consumer-first digital industries is valued as you bring best practices to the organization.


Career development is strong in this growing, thriving company. Travel is estimated at 30%, including global travel. The company work in-office, so you will need to be local to the San Francisco Bay Area, a generous relocation package is provided.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product management, new product development or innovation with digital products, apps and services.
  • Previous digital innovation experience in highly regulated industries (banking, healthcare, finance), previous experience with medical device, biopharma or biotech is a strong plus
  • Strong executive presentation and influencing skills
  • Previous experience managing direct reports
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus


A highly competitive base salary is provided, along with a yearly cash bonus, generous 401k match, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary is $220,000-435,000 DOE.


This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area company HQ working onsite. A generous relocation package is available.
