AI Scenario Tester

The role
Blue Oak Consulting is looking for an AI Scenario Tester to support our internal quality assurance workflows. We are looking for someone currently based in United Arab Emirates to join us for this role. This residency requirement exists to ensure compliance with our regional tax and payroll setup for independent contractors. You will be responsible for reviewing internal advisory drafts and reports that are partially prepared using automated systems. Your primary goal is to ensure that every financial claim, pricing assumption, and capital allocation projection is factually consistent with our primary source materials.

What you will be doing

• Reviewing internal report drafts and advisory briefings for factual accuracy and logical consistency.
• Checking automated summaries against raw documentation, including interview transcripts and primary financial data.
• Verifying that pricing architecture recommendations align with the source project data.
• Identifying and documenting instances where internal documentation contains unsupported claims or unclear logic.
• Following specific review instructions to ensure consistency across multiple advisory engagements.
• Escalating complex cases to a senior principal when source materials and drafts show unexplained discrepancies.
• Maintaining a detailed log of recurring documentation issues to help improve our internal writing standards.
• Participating in the weekly research note quality assurance pass to verify citation accuracy.

What we are looking for

• A university degree or equivalent professional experience in a field requiring high attention to detail.
• At least 2 years of experience in proofreading, editorial quality assurance, or business documentation review.
• Strong written English skills with the ability to identify subtle inconsistencies in professional reporting.
• Familiarity with commercial or financial terminology, such as capital allocation, cash economics, and pricing models.
• A disciplined approach to following structured review checklists regardless of the volume of work.
• Current residency in United Arab Emirates with the legal right to work as an independent contractor.

Helpful background

• Previous experience in a consulting support role or a research documentation environment.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets and the ability to verify numbers across different document formats.
• An interest in commercial skepticism and the logic of high-stakes business decisions.
