Position Description & Qualifications

Serco is seeking to fill a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic role of a Test Engineer to support our CMS Program (100% Remote). This role will be part of an existing test team and would be supporting the various testing activities on one or more assigned programs. Testing is done at various levels including functional, integration and regression testing based on functional requirements. This is an agile program using 2-week sprints and tracking work and bugs in JIRA.

In This Role You Will

  • Perform functional and regression tests; identify, analyze and report issues for follow-up.
  • Running test validations at various levels including DB validation, RPA validation, and UI validation.
  • Performs integration and testing activities with external contractor and systems with various government provided systems.
  • Generates test plans, test reports, system and software problem reports, and tracks issues through resolution.
  • Must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with company team members as well as program stakeholders using strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Cross team collaboration is required as you will need to interface with the system engineers to understand the requirements, and the software engineers to understand how the software works.

To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have

  • Must be a U.S citizen
  • Bachelors of Science Degree with 5 years of experience Test Engineer and
    • developing Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data based on the requirements
    • performing testing on both front end and back end systems.
  • 3 years experience working within formal engineering & development processes for the development of complex systems.
  • 2 years experience with REST and SOAP API testing
  • 3 years e xperience Performing Gap Analysis on requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Document and prioritize defects and work with the team to resolve.
Additional Desired Experience And Skills

  • Experience working in an Agile project team
  • Experience with SQL scripts, creating test data, validating test results.
  • Jira knowledge is must
