Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure primarily within Microsoft Azure environments.
Support multi-cloud initiatives and contribute to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) workloads as required.
Architect and implement solutions utilizing Azure services including Virtual Machines, AKS, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Policy.
Lead and support cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and application modernization initiatives.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Automate deployment, configuration management, and scaling processes through CI/CD pipelines.
Manage containerized environments using Docker and Azure App Services, with Kubernetes (AKS) experience considered a strong asset.
Promote DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and implement AI-powered tools to improve cloud operations, automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Support the responsible adoption of AI technologies within cloud engineering workflows.
Research and assess emerging AI-driven cloud management capabilities to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Implement cloud security best practices including identity and access management, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance controls.
Apply Azure governance policies and standards to maintain secure and compliant cloud environments.
Support vulnerability management, remediation activities, and disaster recovery planning.
Conduct regular infrastructure reviews and audits to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
Optimize cloud performance, availability, and cost management strategies.
Support incident response activities, root cause analysis, and ongoing service improvements.
Partner with development, security, and data teams to deliver cloud infrastructure solutions that support business objectives.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
Collaborate with senior technical leadership to align cloud strategy with organizational goals.

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join a growing infrastructure team. This role is ideal for a cloud professional with strong Microsoft Azure expertise who is passionate about designing, deploying, and optimizing secure, scalable cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting cloud transformation initiatives, infrastructure automation, and the adoption of AI-driven technologies within cloud operations.


Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture

  • Design, deploy, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure primarily within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Support multi-cloud initiatives and contribute to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) workloads as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related technical role.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including deployment, administration, optimization, and architecture.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting or automation languages including Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security principles.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with Azure AI/ML services and AI-enabled infrastructure tools.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, or Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault and secrets management practices.
