IT Director

Remote / On-site requirement / Travel %:

Required Skills

Minimum 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams

10+ years of progressive IT experience

Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders in complex environments

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)

Expertise in budget planning and financial management

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and execution skills

Advanced understanding of infrastructure technologies (servers, database, network, storage, security)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to translate technical concepts to business leaders

Proven leadership ability with a focus on driving execution and team alignment

Desired Skills

Healthcare industry experience

Experience with network security infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, proxies)

Experience leading IT organizations through transformation or transition

Day To Day Responsibilities

Communicate and drive implementation of IT strategy across teams

Plan, direct, and coordinate IT team activities aligned to business goals and daily operations

Manage IT budget, including inventory planning and capital tracking with Finance

Lead development of secure, scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems

Oversee staff development, performance management, and team growth

Ensure system performance, architecture, infrastructure, and processes meet service levels

Drive process improvements and implement new operational initiatives

Manage team priorities, track progress, and align work to organizational metrics and outcomes

Ensure delivery of IT business objectives within quality, timeline, and budget expectations

Balance security initiatives with broader organizational goals and risk mitigation

Promote a strong service culture and deliver exceptional internal and external customer experience

Act as IT representative in security incidents, including coordination with external agencies if required

Partner with CTO and leadership to develop solutions and address strategic challenges

Oversee disaster recovery, backup procedures, and information security controls

Advocate for team and organizational success

Communicate updates, decisions, performance, and best practices to stakeholders

Serve as escalation point for after-hours support and internal IT consulting needs

Perform additional duties as needed
