The Role
- Play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams
- Deliver high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock) for EU customers
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC)
- Collaborate with global AWS teams and influence the evolution of AWS services
- Ensure improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents

- Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
- Systems engineering experience with hardware, software, networking, and operating systems
- Expertise in Linux and networking, with proven diagnostics and resolution skills
- Demonstrated success in root cause analysis, performance optimization, and robust monitoring
- Experience in leading the creation and improvement of standard operational procedures (SOPs)
- Must be a national of an EU member state
