Job Description


Job Title: Security Architect / Cybersecurity Engineer Consultant

Location: Fully Remote (Nationwide Candidates Accepted)

Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)

Interview Process: Virtual Interview (Potential 2nd Round Onsite if Required)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise security platforms and solutions
  • Support Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) implementations and operations
  • Assist with Extended Detection and Response (XDR) technologies
  • Support Vulnerability Management programs, including scanning, reporting, remediation tracking, and metrics
  • Implement and support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Support Security Awareness and Training initiatives
  • Deploy and manage endpoint and Linux-based security sensors
  • Develop security automation and integration solutions
  • Participate in security architecture, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support threat detection, incident response, and defensive security operations
  • Assist with system hardening and security configuration for Linux and Windows environments

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting large enterprise IT environments and system deployments
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise security technologies, including:
  • SIEM
  • XDR
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Endpoint Security
  • Cribl or similar security platforms
  • 5+ years of experience developing automation and integrations using:
  • Python
  • Bash scripting
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture and engineering principles
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, threat detection, and defensive security strategies
  • Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems, including system hardening and security configurations
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field (or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on SIEM administration, monitoring, analysis, and reporting experience
  • Experience building and deploying Linux-based security sensors
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards including:
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF)
  • CJIS
