Overview

Our Healthcare Client is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale load balancing platform and self-service automation portal. This role blends deep networking expertise (F5/load balancing) with backend engineering (Python/Django), enabling enterprise-wide automation used by over 1,200 users. The ideal candidate will operate at a senior level—participating in architecture discussions, leading initiatives, and building scalable solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance a Load Balancer as a Service platform built on Python/Django and Angular supporting ~2,000 requests per month

• Design and implement automation for F5 load balancing configurations including policies, health checks, and scaling

• Develop backend services and automation workflows using Python and Django

• Collaborate with F5/network engineering teams to prioritize backlog and deliver solutions aligned to customer needs

• Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior engineers

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions

• Implement automated testing strategies using Selenium, unit testing, and UAT practices

• Support migration to new environments/zones with updated security and configuration requirements

• Contribute to AI-driven automation initiatives, including chatbot-based interaction with infrastructure

• Operate independently, lead projects, and make architectural decisions impacting enterprise systems

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in network engineering with strong focus on load balancing (F5 preferred)

• Hands-on experience with network automation and backend development (Python/Django)

• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)

• Strong understanding of automated testing (Selenium, unit testing, UAT)

• Proven ability to conduct code reviews and mentor engineers

• Experience working in large-scale, high-availability production environments

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible for automation

• Exposure to AI/ML or chatbot-driven automation solutions

• Experience building self-service platforms or internal developer tools

• Familiarity with large enterprise environments and distributed teams
