Python Game Developer (Panda3D) – Remote Contract Opportunity

Arc is sourcing candidates for a client opportunity.

This role is paying between $20 and $120/hour.

We're looking for developers with strong hands-on Panda3D experience who can apply practical engineering judgement to complex 3D environments, simulation systems, and game development workflows.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building, debugging, and optimizing interactive 3D applications while working across Python, C++, graphics systems, and simulation logic.

The role involves:

• Designing and developing 3D simulations and environments using Panda3D

• Building and maintaining Python and C++ codebases

• Optimizing performance across a variety of hardware environments

• Solving complex technical challenges involving rendering, simulation, and gameplay systems

• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions

• Documenting engineering decisions and implementation approaches

• Collaborating with distributed teams on challenging development projects

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience with Panda3D (experience with other engines alone is not sufficient)

• Strong Python and C++ development experience

• Deep understanding of 3D graphics, rendering pipelines, and simulation systems

• Experience using GitHub and collaborative development workflows

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

We're particularly interested in candidates who can reason through technical tradeoffs, debug complex systems, and clearly explain engineering decisions.

Experience with AI simulations, training environments, performance optimization, distributed development teams, or large-scale 3D projects is highly valued.

Prior AI experience is not required.

What matters most is practical Panda3D expertise, strong software engineering fundamentals, and the ability to contribute to real-world technical challenges.
