Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - OC/DISA GLOBAL OPERATIONS COMMAND, Plans & Programs Division (DG523).
Duties
Help
- Develop and implement work schedules to ensure an even flow of tasks, prioritize urgent cases, and meet deadlines, while revising schedules as needed to accommodate changes in workload or project requirements.
- Assign work to employees based on factors such as assignment difficulty, employee qualifications, and available resources, while ensuring tasks are completed to acceptable quality and quantity standards.
- Set performance standards, evaluate employee performance, and take appropriate corrective actions as necessary. Approve or disapprove leave, manage grievances, and recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate with representatives from other branches or organizations to align priorities, procedures, and work objectives.
- Participate in meetings to resolve issues and exchange technical information related to both Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) and Contingency Exercise (CONEX).
- Formulate and implement training plans to ensure employee skill development to ensure accurate position descriptions.

Basic Requirements

- Customer Service - experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
- Oral Communication -briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.

- A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
- This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
- Accepting this position, you may be required to serve a three-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

- Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
