Key Highlights
3+ years of Software QA experience in manual and automation testing
Full remote position with Uruguay timezone (UYT) work hours 9am-6pm
Requires hands-on automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and API testing experience
Must collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases and test plans
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing
Identify, document, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools
Validate bug fixes and ensure resolution before production release
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
Build and enhance automation frameworks
Execute automated test suites and analyze results
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Conduct API testing and database validation when required
Support performance, load, and security testing efforts
Provide clear status reports on testing progress and quality metrics
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Software QA Tester with experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through comprehensive testing strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.


Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases and test plans.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Validate bug fixes and ensures resolution before production release.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and risk.


Automation Testing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks.
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Continuously improving automation coverage and efficiency.


General QA Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Conduct API testing and database validation when required.
  • Support performance, load, and security testing efforts.
  • Provide clear status reports on testing progress and quality metrics.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Software QA (manual and automation testing).
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
  • Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications
