Job Description


This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate - People Analytics based in India.

This role sits at the intersection of data, people strategy, and business decision-making, transforming HR data into meaningful insights that shape the employee experience.

You will play a key role in building scalable people analytics solutions that support talent acquisition, engagement, performance, and retention strategies.

The position involves working with large and complex datasets to uncover trends and provide actionable recommendations to HR and business leaders.

You will design dashboards, develop reports, and contribute to predictive models that improve workforce planning and decision-making.

A strong emphasis is placed on storytelling with data, ensuring insights are clearly communicated to non-technical stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Looker to track key HR and people metrics such as attrition, quality of hire, diversity, and talent pipelines.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform HR and workforce data from multiple internal systems and databases.
  • Develop descriptive and predictive models to identify trends such as employee attrition risk, workforce planning needs, and performance drivers.
  • Support employee engagement and pulse survey analytics, including deep-dive analysis and sentiment interpretation to inform organizational improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to align people analytics insights with business and headcount planning strategies.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of people data through regular audits and data governance practices.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of people analytics frameworks, tools, and reporting systems.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in People Analytics, Business Intelligence, or data-focused functions.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and working with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and explores in Looker or similar BI tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, modeling, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts or predictive modeling techniques is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Analytics.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across HR, business, and technical teams.
