Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer to start and scale our test automation efforts across our Unity-based mobile games for iOS and Android. In this high-impact role, you will help to shape and drive the automation strategy, architect scalable and maintainable frameworks, and integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines to protect release stability and accelerate delivery.
You will work closely with Games QA, Game Developers, and SDK/Engine teams to establish automation as a core pillar of our quality strategy. While automation will be your primary focus, we value a pragmatic mindset. You should also be comfortable stepping into manual testing when needed to support releases or investigate complex issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the automation strategy for Unity mobile games
- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks and tooling
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to gate merges and protect the main branch
- Build and maintain automated regression coverage for core gameplay flows, SDK integrations, and backend interactions
- Establish automation standards and best practices
- Collaborate closely with Game Developers to improve testability and quality-by-design
- Support manual testing efforts when needed to ensure release quality

Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation, including senior-level ownership
- Experience with backend/API automation testing (e.g., REST, Swagger/OpenAPI-based validation)
- Strong hands-on experience with Unity and C#
- TypeScript / JavaScript or Python (for tooling & CI scripts)
- Experience testing mobile game applications on iOS and Android
- Proven experience designing and scaling automation frameworks
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Ability to balance strategic ownership with hands-on implementation
- Willingness to contribute to manual testing when required
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with AltTester (in-game UI & gameplay automation) and Maestro (mobile E2E/UI automation) or alternatives
