About The Role
Sentara is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automation processes that support our software product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable cloud environments primarily on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform. You will collaborate closely with development teams to enable continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), optimize operational efficiency, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues. This role plays a vital part in accelerating cloud adoption, enhancing system reliability, and enabling developer productivity through automation and self-service capabilities. The position requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Proven expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Hands-on experience with GitHub, including source control, workflows, and CI/CD integration
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes (AKS) environments
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, automation principles, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to apply GenAI capabilities to improve productivity and operational efficiency
- Experience working with Application Release Orchestration tools such as Massdriver, Redhat, GitLab, or Harness
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in ambiguous environments
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree
