Overview We are looking for our next Cobol Developer : Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.

Proven experience in COBOL software development within professional and enterprise environments.

Strong proficiency in COBOL programming, including control structures, advanced file handling (VSAM), and syntax standards.

Database Management: Solid, hands-on experience with DB2 (SQL queries, performance tuning, and database interactions within mainframe systems).

Mainframe Ecosystem : Deep familiarity with IBM mainframe environments (z/OS), including daily usage of JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing and utilities.

Online Processing : Proven experience working with CICS (Customer Information Control System) for transaction processing and screen development.

Integration & Modernization: Experience in integrating COBOL-based legacy systems with modern applications via APIs, messaging queues (MQ Series), or web services.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Ability to maintain, debug, and modernize legacy COBOL systems, preserving core business functionality while introducing performance enhancements.

Problem Solving : Strong skill in identifying and resolving complex issues in COBOL systems, including logic errors, dump analysis, and integration challenges.

Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements and hybrid tech stacks.

Strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and team-player attitude.
