Full Stack Software Engineer (Backend-Focused)

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Back-end centric), with a minimum of 5 years of experience, to work with our US client in the digital marketing and SaaS space!

Location: Philippines (Fully Remote)

Duration: Open-ended Independent Contractor (Long-term team building)

Remuneration: $2,000 USD per month + 13th-Month Pay

Working Hours: Joining at 9:00 AM, CST, US = 10:00 PM, Philippines time.

We are looking for a proactive, curious, and ownership-driven Full Stack Software Engineer—with a strong mastery of backend architecture—to join an award-winning SaaS platform team. In this role, you will help build, optimize, and scale automated marketing applications ("At Capacity"), working directly with US engineering leadership to deliver high-impact integrations and intelligent feature sets. We value intellectual honesty, proactive communication, and engineers who actively participate in technical design and code compromises rather than just blindly writing specs.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering & API Integration

• Design, implement, and consume highly robust, scalable RESTful APIs connecting with major external advertising and communication platforms (Google, Meta, Microsoft).
• Develop, enhance, and isolate clean microservices architectures to minimize deployment risk and eliminate monolithic debt.
• Manage data layers within relational databases, primarily utilizing SQL Server environments, with an eye toward future cloud data scaling (BigQuery).

Feature Delivery & Platform Evolution

• Take core ownership of building new application features, including advanced platform integrations (Google LSA, Meta ad flexibility), data exports, and internal call-scoring AI reporting agents.
• Write clean, maintainable code and drive the development of robust automated Unit Testing frameworks to improve platform coverage and quality standards.
• Collaborate dynamically with the internal Product team during refinement sessions to turn operational stories into high-performance technical systems.

Collaboration & Engineering Culture

• Actively engage in an open, democratic peer code review process, leaning on a strict code convention setup (e.g., synchronous team walkthroughs for deep pull requests).

• Autonomously manage your independent daily workflow inside Jira and Confluence ecosystems while seamlessly aligning with the broader team.

Skills & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 4 to 5+ years of professional hands-on software engineering experience.
• Core Backend Tech Stack: Deep mastery of .NET (C#) / .NET 8, RESTful API design standards, and relational databases using SQL Server.
• Cloud & DevOps: Professional experience working within a containerized deployment environment (Azure, utilizing blue-green deployment models) alongside GitHub repository workflows.
• Frontend Tech Stack (Bonus): Familiarity with Vue.js and TypeScript is a plus, though the core focus of this hire is heavily skewed toward backend logic.
• Working Requirements: Must be comfortable maintaining a stable 3-hour daily schedule overlap with US Central Standard Time (CST)—typically working late evenings in the Philippines (approx. 10:00 PM – 1:00 AM Manila Time) for core meetings.
• Infrastructure: Must possess a reliable remote setup, including high-speed internet, a dedicated workstation laptop, and explicit power redundancies (UPS/backup generator) to ensure seamless performance uptime.
