Key Responsibilities
Ensure ongoing operation of Network Security Infrastructure (Internet Proxy (SWG) and firewalling)
Monitor and resolve incidents skillfully, adjusting components for changed requirements
Secure communication paths for mobile clients including homeworkers, virtual desktop infrastructures, and branch offices
Develop early threat detection mechanisms and shape new ideas in network security projects such as network segmentation or network behavior analysis
Create technical concepts and documentation in a regulated environment
Advise users at 2nd level in case of incidents or changes

Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GIT-IO Network team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a temporary, full-time basis for 24 months, commencing as soon as possible as a System Engineer / IT Administrator Network Security Infrastructure.

You can look forward to

  • You ensure the ongoing operation in the area of Network Security Infrastructure (Internet Proxy (SWG) and firewalling)
  • You keep an eye on incidents and resolve them skillfully; you take changed requirements into account through adjustment and further development of the components
  • You secure the communication paths of mobile clients in the network, e.g. from homeworkers, virtual desktop infrastructures and branch offices
  • You are part of the development of early threat detection mechanisms and shape new ideas in network security projects, e.g. network segmentation or network behaviour analysis
  • The creation of technical concepts and documentation is a fixed part of your activities in a regulated environment
  • Advising users at 2nd level in the case of incidents or changes

You come equipped with

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics, (business) engineering or training as an IT specialist for system integration
  • Relevant professional experience in operating enterprise security environments using Zscaler technologies
  • Experience in operating enterprise network environments based on Cisco and Check Point technologies, as well as in automation using Python, Ansible or Terraform
  • Initial experience in process-oriented, tool-based working in the areas of incident, problem and change management (ITIL knowledge is an advantage)
  • You communicate fluently in German and English with users with different technical backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills, enjoyment of collaboration as well as a solution- and service-oriented mindset
