Position: LATAM Design Director

Start Date: asap

Length: 3 months

Full Time

Location: fully remote

Leads LATAM design output within the integrated L-EMEA team, ensuring high-volume promotional and CRM communications are crafted to the highest standard and built for scale. Based in the UK, this role blends design excellence with systematic thinking—producing compelling, modular work easily adapted across audiences, markets, and languages. AI tools are central to the daily workflow, driving production speed, quality at volume, and continuous innovation.

Key Partnerships

  • Regional Creative Director: Primary line of creative accountability and visual standard alignment.
  • Central Brand Ops: Central point of contact for all LATAM briefs, reviews, approvals, and workflow management.
  • EMEA Production & Delivery Teams: Day-to-day collaboration to ensure design outputs are structured for scaled downstream localization and asset delivery.
  • Core Team (Squad Lead, Designers, Project Manager): Daily collaboration to keep work moving at quality and pace.
  • Wider L-EMEA Creative Team: Active participant in team-wide initiatives and shared creative culture across the broader operation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Drive craft excellence across all LATAM outputs (display, social, digital formats, and CRM).
  • Systems & Master Assets: Develop and steward the LATAM component library, creating master files and modular systems built for reuse and efficient localization.
  • Quality Control: Lead design reviews, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and production readiness before client review and scaled delivery.
  • AI Integration: Embed AI-native practices into daily workflows to develop ideas, accelerate production, and elevate output quality.
  • Workflow Collaboration: Partner with production to ensure assets are correctly formatted for enterprise project management and CMS platforms, supporting the transition as the LATAM operation scales.

Scope & Output

  • Regional Focus: Latin America, primarily Brazil and Mexico. Demands a deep understanding of designing for cultural relevance at a regional scale.
  • High-Volume Output: Covers digital display, social formats, CRM, and promotional campaigns. Requires maintaining exceptional quality at every step, from master asset to localized variant, using a scalable, component-based system.

Candidate Requirements

  • Exceptional Craft at Scale: Consistently holds a high visual bar regardless of high volume or delivery speed.
  • Systems Thinking: Designs for scale by default. Experienced in building and maintaining modular design systems with adaptation and reuse in mind.
  • Promotional & CRM Expertise: Deeply familiar with the constraints, format demands, and discipline required for performance-led, operationally efficient creative.
  • LATAM Cultural Awareness: Understands how visual language, color, imagery, and tone must flex for Brazilian and Mexican audiences (fluency in Spanish/Portuguese is not required, but genuine cultural sensitivity is).
  • AI-Native Approach: Seamlessly integrates AI to produce and adapt assets at speed. A portfolio showcasing significant AI integration is expected.
  • Workflow Proficiency: Experienced working within structured production workflows and enterprise asset delivery platforms.
  • Collaborative Disposition: A strong cross-functional team player who thinks in systems without losing sight of craft. You must be operationally minded enough to keep high volumes moving seamlessly, yet creatively driven to ensure nothing feels "made at speed."
